The short time I was able to use the the Logitech Cordless Vantage, I was thoroughly satisifed and felt it was well worth the price. However, since Sony update 2.40 on the PS3, use of the headset causes me to drop my wi-fi internet network connection. This basically means if you’re playing on-line, you can’t use the wireless headset. This problem does not occur with PS3 users that are connected directly using an Ethernet cable.
Unfortunately, neither Sony or Logitech has an answer to the issue. In researching the Playstation Network Forums, other users are having the same complaint with other manufacturers of headsets too. Though
I love the look, feel and sound of the headset, I can not suggest this product until Sony or Logitech resolve the issues regarding using a wireless internet connection with this particular blue tooth headset.

This was everything I wanted in the headset. It is very convenient. I don’t have to deal with any wire and its adjustments are very flexible. You can put it in either ear and adjust the mic lower or higher to get it closer to your mouth. Very expensive, but its still worth it if you could afford it.

CANT BELIEVE I SPENT 80 DOLLARS ON A HEADSET, BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT.IT HAS BY FAR THE BEST SOUND QUALITY FOR A PS3 HEADSET.I GAVE IT 4 STARS FOR FUN BECAUSE NOT MANY PEOPLE HAVE A HEADSET TO TALK TO OTHER WISE IT WOULD OF GOT 5 STARS. THE SET UP TOOK ME ABOUT TWO MINUTES, U MUST READ THE EASY TO FOLLOW INSTRUTIONS.

I was a little discouraged when I found out it was not adjustable but it allows for different positioning on your head while rotating the mic. I find that moving the band to the top of the head much like you would see a phone service rep wear is the most comfortable. I highly recommend it and hell if you don’t like it then you can always return it.

This a good headset from Logitech. The speaker is clear and people seem to be able to hear me clearly also. It is a comfortable behind the head fit and does not irritate after long periods of time. The only complaint I would have with the fit is that the behind the head part comes so far around that it is border-line on my face. Maybe my head is smaller than Logitech intended this headset for, but some kind of adjustable mechanism would have been nice. Another good point would be that this headset works with a bluetooth compatable cell phone. Also, I like that it charges off the wall instead of the PS3. It holds a long charge also.

If you have a PS3 and play online, you probably had trouble finding a Bluetooth mic that works without a hitch. The Cordless Vantage is an excellent headset with great battery life that works well with little fuss.
Pros:
12-hour talk time is for real. I played a 14-hour COD4 marathon and didn’t run out of power until hour 14.
Noise canceling is excellent. No echoes when listening, and doesn’t register my breathing! Comes with a wall charger, and can also be charged via USB with the same cable as your controller. It can be worn on the left or right side, and has it’s own mute/volume control.
Cons:
While I think it’s comfortable, there is no adjustment for the behind the head loop. If this is for a younger person, or if your head is just small then it may not fit too well.
The earpiece is heavy (must be that 12 hr battery) and wants to slide down if you move around. Without any way to adjust the way it fits this is NOT a headset made for walking down the street, it’s for stationary use. The head loop is also cheap feeling compared to the earpiece. It begs careful handling because of the springy feel and how thin the plastic is. Also, you will have to pair it again after you use the wall charger, but not when you use USB. Strange, no?
Conclusion:
The Cordless Vantage is a Bluetooth headset that works well with the PS3. If you like the way it fits then you’ll be happy you spent the money.

I was able to set this up easily. It works well, and the price was great. I recommend charging the device before you give it as a gift to a kid. My kids had a difficult waiting for it to fully charge before using it.

So, there I was, thinking I knew Logitech created quality devices. I have had many computer peripherals that were produced by Logitech, and they have all been sound, quality products. So, I decided to get this wireless headset. Let me tell you, that was an awful decision. For something that was made specifically for the PS3, this thing sucks. I followed the instructions to the T in syncing the headset to the PS3. So why do I have to constantly re-syng it? Also, once it is synced, the headset constantly cycles on and off, creating a clicking noise. Even when I sit it on a desk and have no other background noise, it constantly shows up that it is receiving voice input. As a side-effect, it sometimes cancels out my PS3 controller, so I can’t do anything until I restart the system. Now, to get to the comfort side of things. Whoever designed the wrap-around head piece is an idiot. It is not adjustable, so unless you have the same head as the designer, then it won’t fit you properly. Maybe I just got a bad egg, but I will never suggest this headset to anyone I know. I have been a gamer for a long time, and I must say, I haven’t been this disappointed in a peripheral for years. If you are set on having a wireless headset, then get one that is made for cell-phones, like a Motorola brand.

I haven’t heard any lag, don’t have to resync the headset everytime, good audio quality, people hear me great, easy to use, great design (you can use it on whichever ear you like. logitech always puts out the best headsets…i bet this is going to be the headset for socom…thats why its not as readily available everywhere.

The headset has a great sound quality once you figure out the volume level. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the headband. The headband feels a little cheap and there is no adjustment. Otherwise a great headset for the money.

This is my first headset but i do have basic knowledge that lets me know whether a headset is good or not.
Overall, I love the headset. It hasn’t given me any problems so far and the functionality of the mic is easy to use
The audio quality is great I can clearly hear people who also have a great mic. People understand me clearly without any problems. I recommend getting a friend who has a good mic to test this headset with. They’ll be able to give you some feedback.
There is a volume button that you push up or down to lower or raise the opponents/friends volume. But this button can also be pressed, which is how everything is controlled. Holding down the button different periods of time provides a different function. I believe the functions are as follows
5 seconds: On/off
1 push: mute on/off
10 seconds: puts the headset in sync mode
There may be other functions but that’s basically it.
The fitment of the headset is fine but i could have been better. The part that goes around your neck is not adjustable which i believe was a mistake because not everybody is made the same but like i said it’s fine.
Other than that, there isn’t much that i don’t like about this headset.
It’s a great headset that is currently half off on amazon.com jump on it or you’ll be paying close to 80 bucks later on.

I been looking around for a headset for COD 4. Even though this one is pretty expensive it works great and has clear sound. It lasts around 12 hours. My only con is that my hair gets pulled sometimes, rotating part for the band pinches my hair and when I remove the headset my hair gets pulled. That why I gave it 4 stars. A little annoying but their aren’t many headsets for PS3. I’m happy with this one and would recommend it to anyone that wants to enhance their gaming.

I got this for the PS 3. Got it operational in no time. I even use it for my LG Rumor. This headset completely rocks. The only thing I could see improving on is the ability to have it mute and let you know it somehow. Otherwise it is a 5 star item.

I originally bought this product to replace a bluetooth device that was originally for my phone. I did some shopping around and found that this product was the most bang for your buck. You can adjust it for right or left ear listening which is great. The sound quality is amazing. The life of the battery charge surpasses any other bluetooth device I own. The time required to charge the device is minimal. I havent tried to connect it to my phone but if it works that would be phenomanol. I use this headset for online gaming. COD4 and COD5 are the main games but I have used it for Nascar also with perfect results. I own a PS3 and would not use any other headset while gaming.
June 29 2009, several months of non stop use and still functioning perfectly.

I read the reviews here, and thought I had found the perfect headset. I liked it for about a day. It’s uncomfortable, cheap feeling, the boom mic does not have enough angle adjustment for when you have the headset around you neck and multifunction button does not like to recognize that you want to mute the mic.
After a week, I got frustrated enough with this thing and destroyed it. [...]
Save your money, ignore the Logitch fanboys.

Let me start off by saying that I have been waiting for this headset to come out for months, and now that I have a set I’m glad that I have them. In the past three weeks I have had to purchase 6 pair of these headsets for friends who play COD4. With a 12 hour battery life you can not go wrong. I like that fact that these headphones set on your ear and not in your ear. At $69 or $79 they are quite a bit expensive but they are good.

this headset is easily the most comfortable, the kind that you have to pinch onto your ear become uncomfortable after a little while, this one is fine. It can sit on either ear, too. I highly recommend it. Only downside is the price.

In using the Logitech Wireless Vantage headset with my PS3 over the past 6 months I’m happy with the performance of the unit though I believe that improvements are needed with the design.
First the good; the Vantage is well built out of sturdy plastics that feel “right”. I’ve inadvertently dropped the unit on a few occasions without any problems or damage. The ear piece is comfortable enough to use during extended periods of online gaming and offers a crisp, clear sound. The microphone though somewhat short (mine only reaches to my cheek) picks up my voice while canceling most background noise. This is the major advantage of this headset; as anyone who has played online games can attest to the annoyance of heavy breathing and constant static being transmitted over games. At least using the Vantage you won’t “be that guy.” Another major advantage of the unit is the 12 hour battery life. While I can’t say that I’ve ever timed the unit to see if the claim is true. I often go several days or even a week without charging the unit with almost daily use. When the unit does need to be charged, I’ve found that a quick 30- 45 minute connection to the included charger adapter is sufficient for a full charge.
A few problems with the overall design and ergonomics of the Vantage keep me from giving it a better rating. The primary problem is with the headsets actual headband. It’s made of a somewhat soft, pliable plastic but is completely unadjustable. Logitech decided to rely solely on the flexibility of the plastic band. Unfortunately that could make the unit troublesome for anyone with a smaller or larger than average head. Additionally I’ve found that the location of the headband coupled with the weight of ear piece can become uncomfortable. That can be somewhat offset by the fact that the headset can be quickly switched to the opposite ear. Another issue with the design of the headband is that it is very uncomfortable to use with eyeglasses due to the location of the headband. In fact, I’d strongly advise anyone who uses eyeglasses to stay away from this headset.
I’ve read at least one review here at Amazon that claims the Vantage interferes with the Sony SIXAXIS or Dualshock 3 controllers. I’m happy to report that I’ve never once experienced interference of any sort with this headset. Also, besides the first initial pairing of the headset to my PS3 I’ve never had to repeat the process.
As I stated previously, the Vantage is a strong performer with some aesthetic and ergonomic flaws that keep it from being great.

I used to have a bluetooth headset for my ps3, the piece of crap broke in 3 days. Now this logitech headset is very strong and fits comfortably around my head. It was also very easy to install on the PS3 don’t be scared to buy this product it’s worth the money.

Best product for PS3 on-line gaming. A lot of people scoff at it’s high price, but I’ve crunched the numbers. I’ve used Motorola H500 (terrible), Motorola H550 (good/ above average), & Jabra BT125 (good). Besides the Jabra and Madcatz there aren’t any blue tooth headsets that are cheaper. By the time you purchase a cell headset you’ve already spent over $60.00, this device is designed specifically for the PS3. Works flawlessly and the volume, on/ off, mute functions are the easiest to use during game play. Highly recommend this headset, if you don’t get it for on-line play I’ll enjoy reaping the benefits of your poor play due to a shoddy mic. Oh, and for all the jokers saying “go to e-bay, you’re getting robbed in price”…buyer beware. I’ve been through two fake headsets that totally bent me over due to e-bay. I had to purchase straight from the store, Amazon, or CDW.

Gave it to my son for Chritmas. He is very satisfied with it. I have purchased less expensive headsets in the past, and this is the best one so far.

works excellently, high quality sound, the only problem is ps3 doesnt fully support this product so at times after updates it doesnt input properly. other than that its a great product. extremely comfortable and very long lasting. much better than the ps3 regular mic.

Not much more to add on to what most people have stated already, this is a great headset! The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is the fact that they didn’t make the band adjustable in some way. It would be nice to be able to make the band tighter in some instances, but as it stands it is very comfortable and the sound quality is great. I was using the Sony PS3 headset for a while, but that thing kills my ear after an hour of use. That’s what prompted me to buy this model and I’m glad I did.
The only thing I wanted to add is, I almost passed on buying this, because one of the posts mentioned that it wasn’t comfortable for people who wear glasses. I gambled and bought it anyway, and I don’t find this to be the case. The band sits comfortably above the ends of my glasses and I don’t have any issues at all with wearing glasses and the headset at the same time. Just wanted to throw that out there for my fellow optically challenged peers. I guess your experience is going to depend on your type of glasses and how you wear them.

I bought this headset for my girlfriend because she loves to chat online on the Xbox 360 and we didn’t have a headset yet for the PS3. She used it on UNO and said she could hear fine and they heard her fine as well. Another nice thing is since it’s Bluetooth you could also use it on your cell phone if you really wanted. It’s fairly comfortable as well.

I’ve gone through three headsets for my PS3, and this is by far the best I’ve used. The sound quality is great, and the headset has all the essential controls–volume, mute, etc. Making sure it’s charged has not been a problem for me, and I use it for at least a few hours per day. I will say that figuring out how to wear it can be confusing, but in time I found out how to adjust it properly. Great product!

wow. this is the best headset ive ever had.
as far as ps3 their ‘official bluetooth headset’ sucks. it felt like i had razors in my ear after 15 minutes.
the only thing this logitech headset doesnt have that the official ps3 headset has is the ON SCREEN INDICATOR
the comfort of this headset is great. i dont even know its on my head.
it has full volume control AND a mute bottom on the headset (push the volume switch IN to mute)
dont fool yourself with other headsets, this is the one to get
